About
The After School Arts Program®
Enriching lives through the arts
The After School Arts Program® believes appreciation of the arts is the hallmark of both a complete person and a healthy society. Its mission is to enable children to engage in artistic and cultural activities that otherwise would not be available to them. ASAP’s workshops and programs in the literary, performing, visual, culinary, and martial arts are designed not just to teach particular skills, but to nurture individual creativity, encourage group collaboration, and give participants the chance to explore new and sometimes life-changing experiences in the arts.
ASAP is funded in part by the Department of Economic and Community Development; the Diebold Foundation; A gift of the Jean and Julien Levy Foundation for the Arts, Inc.; Regional School District #12; Union Savings Bank and the Gould Family Foundation. Support also comes from the Bank of America Foundation; Community Table Foundation; The Lilac Foundation; Shred-it; the towns of Bridgewater, Roxbury, and Washington; US Trust; The Watts Fund; Holmes Foundation; the Community Foundation of NWCT; the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation; Webster Bank; The Rene Bloch Foundation; The Connecticut Community Foundation; Eagle Electric Service LLC; Lipman-Sherman Family Foundation; Dungannon Foundation, and many generous individuals.
